3 policemen shot dead in Quetta

QUETTA, Nov 23: Three policemen were killed and another suffered serious injuries in two attacks in the city on Friday evening.

Constable Manzoor Ahmed was killed and ASI Mohammad Rafiq sustained serious bullet injuries when armed men riding a motorbike opened fire on them near the science college on Jinnah road, police said.

About 15 minutes after the above attack, two policemen, Head Constable Mohammad Afzal and Constable Nasibullah, were shot dead on Jan Mohammad road.

The assailants managed to escape.

The bodies of the policemen were taken to the civil hospital.

“It is a case of targeted killing and terrorists are now targeting police,” Capital

City Police Officer, Quetta, Mohammad Akbar said that special teams had been set up to investigate the incidents.
