KARACHI, Nov 24: Seven ships carrying soyabean oil, jute and to load rice and cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Chemroad to load ethanol, Kirketo to offload DAP fertilizer, Lucy Arrow to load cement and Young An-2 to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of as many.

The ships, which departed were led by Seato-1, Cape Negro, Guard Aleta and Gao Battle, while Soon Fu, National Glory, Eric G. Gibson, Grigeroussa-1, Zang Za San Chung Nayon and Custodia Hellas sailed out on Saturday.

The cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow where a total tonnage fell to a modest level owing to steep decline in export tonnage.

Out of the total 36,087 tons, export tonnage fell to only 7,657 tons, while import cargo accounted for 28,430 tons.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Aggtueek with 17,000 of soyabean oil, Norasia Alps and Mol Admiration with containers, Titan with coal, Pacific Arrow to load cement, Ocean Frontier to load clinkers and Banglar Mookh with jute and Bamboo to load rice.
