KARACHI, Nov 26: Four ships carrying containers, edible oil, diesel oil and chemicals were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, three more container ships also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy stood at 80 per cent where eight ships, Tia, Eddy Stone, Leopard-B, Hanna, Force Ranger, Pegasus-7, Al-Soor-II and Qemstar, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, rice, coal, edible oil, diesel oil and chemicals.

A cargo volume of 71,807 tons comprising 65,643 tons of import and 6,164 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as Tia, Eddy Stone and Qemstar left the port while Al-Soor-II, Leopard-B and Force Ranger were expected to depart.
