Bangladesh squad named for NZ tour

DHAKA, Nov 26: Bangladesh have axed opener Shahriar Nafees to accommodate Junaid Siddiqui in a 15-man one-day squad to tour New Zealand from next month. Bangladesh will play three One-day Internationals and two Tests during the December-January tour.

Left-hand batsman Siddiqui was named man-of-the-match in a Twenty20 World Championship game against Pakistan in South Africa in September. Spinner Mahmudullah was also dropped and was replaced by pace bowler Nazmul Hossain, recalled after a long absence.

Itinerary:

Dec 26: First one-dayer (d/n), Eden Park, Auckland; Dec 28: Second one-dayer, McLean Park, Napier; Dec 31: Third one-dayer, Queenstown Events Centre; Jan 4-8: First Test, University Oval, Dunedin; Jan 12-16: Second Test, Basin Reserve, Wellington.
