KARACHI, Nov 29: Six ships carrying containers, general cargo and crude oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where eight ships were berthed to unload and load containers and general cargo.

They are: Hansa Stavanger, Helenc Rickmers, Hyundai Future, to unload and load containers, Alexandusa, and Agia Thlassani, to offload DAP fertilizer, Titan, to unload coal, Moyra to offload chemicals and Oak Galaxy, to unload palm oil.

Sailing was also active as 10 ships, Aquidnecek, Iron Monger-2, Ocean Frontier, Krikelo, Al-Ihsaa, Bunga Terasek, Pacific Arrow, Mir Damad, APL Dammam and Sun Flower departed on Thursday, while St. Irene, Hansa Stavanger, Klam Penborg, Red Sea Spirit, and Helenc Rickmers are due to sail out on Friday.

A total cargo volume of 86,030 tons comprising 36,030 tons of exports and 50,548 tons of imports was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday; Swat, with crude oil, Kapitan Byankin, Calvin P. Titus, Kota Gunawan, Sima Shaba, with containers and Carola, with general cargo.
