Bomb hoax in Kolkata Test

KOLKATA, Nov 30: An empty tiffin box at one of the entrance gates of the Eden Gardens created panic among the people who came to watch the second cricket Test between India and Pakistan here on Friday.

”A tiffin box was seen lying at gate number 4-A of Eden Gardens at around 9a.m. It was a peak hour as people were entering the ground,” Deputy Commissioner Kolkata police, Vineet Goyel said. “Bomb squad was immediately summoned.

Nothing was found inside the box. The box has been removed from the spot and the situation is now under control,” he said.—Agencies
