NAWABSHAH: Gas supply suspended

NAWABSHAH, Dec 1: Leakage in one of the main gas supply lines in Old Nawabshah resulted in suspension of gas, on Saturday. Consumers faced difficulties on account of it.

Gas supply to Old and New Nawabshah City was suspended at 2:20pm bringing miseries for the residents and restaurateurs. Qasim Memon at the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) Emergency Service told Dawn the leakage was reported from Old Nawabshah after which the team closed the main supply at Jam Sahab Road and went to rectify the fault.

He said he was unaware of the exact spot of leakage but supply would be restored soon.

No official was present to comment on the situation for Saturday being holiday at the SSGCL.—Correspondent
