SIALKOT, Dec 3: Nomination papers of former federal health minister and PML-Q candidate Muhammad Naseer Khan were rejected for NA-115 (Narowal-I) seat on Monday.

Returning officer Riaz Ahmad Chopra declared the graduation degree of Muhammad Naseer Khan fake and rejected his nomination papers as a result.

A spokesman of Naseer Khan said that they would move the Lahore High Court against the rejection of the nomination papers.

Meanwhile, nomination papers of candidate Makhdoom Abuzar Hasnain Bukhari were also rejected for NA-114 (Pasrur) seat on account of incomplete documents.

The BA degree of an independent candidate, Mureed Abbas, was found to be fake that was sufficient for the RO to reject his nomination papers for PP-127 (Pasrur).

OKARA: Nomination papers of two PPP candidates were rejected from NA-143 and NA-144 seats by returning officers in Okara on Monday.

ROs also found the papers of former federal minister and the Renala Khurd tehsil nazim short of required criteria.

Reports said that RO Malik Mubeen Ahmed rejected papers of PPP candidate Rai Noor Muhammad Kharl due to his fake degree for NA-143 seat. Papers of former district nazim Syed Sajjad Haider were also rejected for NA-143 as he failed to produce his bachelor degree.

Nomination papers of Renala Khurd tehsil nazim Malik Muhammad Akram Bhatti were also rejected for NA-143 seat because he could not submit his resignation from the tehsil nazim office. The RO also rejected nomination papers of PPP candidate Chaudhry Muhammad Arif for NA-144 seat owing to his fake degree.

GUJRANWALA: Nomination papers of a former MPA and four other aspirants of national and provincial assemblies’ seats were rejected after hearing of objections raised by their rivals.

Reports said that former federal parliamentary secretary Rana Bilal Ijaz had challenged the BA degrees of his rivals and former MPAs Amanat Virk and Mudasser Qayyum Nahara for NA-100 seat.

Papers of former MPA Amanat Virk were also rejected because of his fake BA degree while the papers of candidates Saifullah Virk (PP-101), Ali Raza and Rana Muhammad Shahid (PP-97) and Mehr Tariq (PP-96) were also rejected.

TOBA TEK SINGH: Nomination papers of two candidates were rejected by returning officers on the last day of scrutiny on Monday.

Papers of independent candidate Akhtar Abbas from NA-94 and PP-88 were rejected as he did not produce resignation from his union council nazim seat.

While papers of another independent candidate, Waseem Akhtar, from PP-90 were rejected after his papers were found incomplete.
