Punjab shine in U-17 kabaddi

ISLAMABAD, Dec 5: Punjab won both of their matches on the opening day of the three-day Inter-provincial Under-17 Asian-style kabaddi tournament at the Liaquat Gymnasium on Wednesday.

Punjab outclassed NWFP 92-12 and chalked up an even more convincing victory (92-8) against Kashmir to go on top of the points table. The duration of each match in this inaugural edition of the championship is 40 minutes.

In the first match of the day, Islamabad beat Sindh 71-30. The NWFP defeated Sindh 66-48 in the last match of the day.—APP
