Bangladesh U-19s bag series

KARACHI, Dec 7: Bangladesh U-19 captain Mohammad Soharwardy displayed a fine all-round performance to help his side beat Pakistan U-19 by two wickets to clinch the five-match one-day series 3-2 at the NBP Sports Complex on Friday.

Batting first, Pakistan U-19s posted 187 runs before they were all bundled out in 48.2 overs.

Usman Salahuddin (43) and Umair Mir (37) were the only notable scorers for the hosts. Mohammad Soharwardy grabbed three wickets for 40 runs off his 9.2 overs.

Adil Raza captured a four-wicket haul for Pakistan but his efforts went in vain as Soharwardy (36) and Nasir Hossain (40) steered their side to triumph. Soharwardy was named the man of the match.
