HYDERABAD: Benazir plans Sindh tour

HYDERABAD, Dec 10: The president of the Sindh chapter of Pakistan People’s Party Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Monday announced itinerary of party chairperson Ms Benazir Bhutto’s tour of the province for launching campaign for Jan 8 general elections.

Mr Shah told journalists after presiding over a meeting of party office-bearers at the residence of party leader Syed Ali Nawaz Shah Rizvi that Benazir, she would address public meetings in Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Tando Mohammad Khan and Hyderabad on Dec 17.

The party would contact Hyderabad district government to seek permission for holding a public meeting at Niaz Stadium, he said.

Ms Bhutto would address a public meeting in Mirpurkhas on Dec 18 and also visit Tando Allahyar and Umerkot the same day.

On Dec 19, she would address a public meeting in Nawabshah before visiting Sindhri, Sanghar and Shahpur Chakar, and address large public meetings in Larkana on Dec 23, Sukkur on Dec 28, and Karachi on Dec 30, he said.—Bureau
