Punjab girls athletics

LAHORE, Dec 12: Four finals were decided on Wednesday, the first day of the three-day Punjab Under-17 girls’ athletics championship being held at the Punjab Stadium. Some 300 girls from 25 districts of Punjab, along with 50 officials, are taking part in the event.

Results:

1500m: 1-Kiran Rana (Muzaffargarh) five min 43.45sec; 2-Azalfa Shafi (Lahore) 3-Nusrat Shabana (Muzaffargarh).

Javelin throw: 1-Anum (Bahawalpur) 27.70m; 2-Neelum Huma (Rawalpindi) 3-Nabeela Naureen (Faisalabad).

Long-jump: 1-Samia Saher (Rahimyar Khan) 4.62m; 2-Mubashra Mansha (Sargodha) 3-Parveen Akhar (Faisalabad).

Shot-putt: 1-Gulmaz (Attock) 8.89m; 2-Razia (Lahore) 3-aSara Rasheed (Lahore).
