HYDERABAD, Dec 13: The District Coordination Officer Hyderabad, Aftab Ahmed Khatri has marked four public places, one for each taluka, for holding public meetings in connection with general elections 2008.

The DCO said these places had been allocated in consultation with the DPO Hyderabad keeping in view the present scenario which requires maximum caution to avoid disturbing peace and tranquillity.

The Pakka Qilla Ground had been earmarked in Hyderabad City Taluka, Mustafa Ground near Poedelice Station A-section in Latifabad Taluka, Ground behind Driving Licence Office at Jamshoro Road in Qasimabad Taluka, and Ground adjacent to Agriculture Research opposite Tandojam Taluka Hospital for Hyderabad Rural Taluka, he said.

He said the District Police Officer Hyderabad should ensure safety and security during public meeting of different political parties on above mentioned places, as and when permitted.

SEMINAR: General Practitioners (Doctors) should avoid re-using syringes as it is the basic cause of spreading Hepatitis-B & C in Sindh, said Zila Nazim Tando Mohammad Khan, Mir Inayat Ali Talpur while addressing a seminar on “advancing injection safety” organized by the Becton-Dickinson (BD) Pakistan in collaboration with the District Health Department Tando Mohammad Khan, on Wednesday.

He said prevention was better than cure and asked the District Health Management to launch an awareness campaign against Hepatitis B, C or HIV/Aids.

Integrated efforts were needed to combat this menace, he said adding the district government Tando Muhammad Khan will facilitate all those organisations engaged in fighting these diseases.
