MARDAN, Dec 13: The residents of the Manga Union Council have condemned the unannounced loadshedding, interruption and low voltage supply of electricity to their area, and warned they will come out on the streets.

Talking to this correspondent, dozens of people led by former nazim Iqbal Khan Mohamand said that more than 14 hours of loadshedding was taking place in the area.

They complained that low voltage and loadshedding had damaged their costly home appliances.

Mr Iqbal Khan said that Manga, Salim Khan Killey, Naray Wala, Charsadda-Mardan road and some nearby villages had been hit hard by the frequent power breakdown.

He alleged that some Wapda officials were ‘punishing’ local people on the p retext of illegal power connections.
