KARACHI, Dec 15: Eight vessels carrying containers crude oil and to load kinno and cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where eight ships, Calvin P. Titus, Cape Negro, Mir Damad, Kota Mesra, Orient Stride to unload and load containers, Pacific Arrow to load cement, Sinin to offload coal and Chemway Lark to load ethanol.
Sailing was also active as six ships, Swat, Splandour, Hanjin Chittagong, Iran Tabatabaei, Calvin P. Titus, and Naftocement departed on Saturday, while Yang Hai, Mir Damad, Cape Negro, Bunga Kenari, Handy Tanker Glory, Pacific Arrow, Cherry and Sinin are due to sail out on Sunday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 0.109m tons comprising 41,426 tons of export cargo including 3,303 tons of rice and 4,069 tons of cement and 67,651 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following vessels are due on Sunday: Spica to load 2,244 tons of kinno, Myrina and Lalazar, with crude oil, Itha Bhum, Conti Harmony, Mol Admiration with containers, Golden Arrow to load 31,500 tons of clinkers and Sealo-1 to load 23,000 tons of cement.
