KHAIRPUR, Dec 15: Former District Nazim Ms Nafisa Shah has claimed that the EDO education Khairpur has been canvassing for PML-F candidates and distributing offer letters.

She was speaking at a gathering in Khairpur on Saturday.

She said that five PPP candidates, in a joint press conference about a week ago, had complained that the EDOs of education and health departments were working for PML-F candidates and using official vehicles for this purpose.

Ms Nafisa said the candidates had also complained in writing to the Election Commission but no action was taken in this regard.

She said that new TPO had been appointed in taluka Gambat and ‘pre-poll rigging’ has been started wherein state machinery was being used.

She alleged that the district administration Khairpur was also pressuring government employees for rigging.

Later, Ms Nafisa withdrew her nomination papers as PPP’s covering candidate for NA-215 seat.

She went to the office of returning officer in a caravan to withdraw her nomination.
