Four events held in U-17 athletics

LAHORE, Dec 17: Four more events were decided in the Punjab U-17 boys athletics championship on Monday.

Nazim Ali of Bahawalnagar clocked 22.61 secss to win 200m race, followed by Ali Hayat (Lahore) and Nasir Iqbal (Lahore).

Ghulam Mustaf earned a gold medal for Sahiwal in 400m race, covering the distance in 50.48seconds. Nasir Iqbal (Lahore) and Mohammad Nadeem (Toba Tek Singh) claimed second and third position. Wajahat Hussain of Gujranwala won the high-jump event with a jump o 1.74m. Asif (Kasur) Imran Mehmood (Faisalabad) came second and third.

In disucs throw, Shamas-ul-Haq of Faisalabad earned the top position throwing the discuss to a distance of 49.30 metres. Abdul Qadeer and Mohammad Rehan, both from Sargodha, clinched the second and third spots.
