LARKANA, Dec 18: Baitulmal money is not being distributed among deserving people but in connivance with Sachal Alliance going to union councils in Ratodero, alleged Chairman Sindh National Front (SNF) Mumtaz Ali Bhutto.

Speaking during receptions in Wada Bossan, Wasayo Bhutto and Nabi Bakhsh Bhutto villages on Tuesday, he said the amount sanctioned and released for various union councils was siphoned off by the leaders of Sachal Alliance. This practice had earned a bad name for Ratodero, he said and urged those running after corrupt people to support those who struggled for the welfare of Sindh.

Mumtaz Bhutto chaired a meeting of heads of different tribes in Din Muhammed Brohi village (Garhi Khairo) on Tuesday, attended among others by Sardar Agha Ghulam Ali Buledi, Mir Liaquat Khan Rind, Haji Anwar Rind, Mir Din Muhammed Brohi, Mir Akhtiar Khan Luhar, and Mir Liaquat Ali Khokhar. Participants of the meeting agreed to support Sardar Mir Manzoor Khan Panhwar a PML (Q) candidate contesting from PS-13 (Garhi Khairo).

However, participants and influential people of the area said they were free to support on the National Assembly seat any candidate. The central committee of SNF would meet here on Wednesday (today) under the chairmanship of Mumtaz Ali Bhutto to decide about party’s future stance in coming elections.

TWO KILLED: Two men were gunned down while another received bullet injuries in a firing incident here on Tuesday, at Larkana-Naudero Road. Three assailants riding motorcycles sprayed bullet and killed on spot Bagan Bhutto and injured Riaz Bhutto while they were returning to ‘Kot Ali Murad Bhutto’ village on the outskirts of Larkana on a donkey cart. Fleeing killers spotted Muhammed Uris Bhutto, brother of the deceased, and shot him dead too. They escaped from the scene.

The double murder was the result of an old enmity between two groups of Bhutto clan where 80 acres of guava orchard was the bone of contention, said sources.

This rivalry had so far taken five lives including that of Imdad Bhutto, a police officer who was killed about six months ago near the City Railway Crossing in Larkana.
