NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Dec 18: Jeay Sindh Mahaz Chairman Abdul Khaliq Junejo has urged the people of Sindh to boycott the general elections, saying that the polls will give nothing to the smaller ‘nations’ of the country, rather would enslave them.

Talking to journalists at Naushahro Feroze Press Club on Tuesday, he said those participating in the elections were only strengthening feudal lords and those who had assaulted the judiciary.

He appealed to the Sindhi people to “understand the conspiracies being hatched against them and other smaller nations” and asked them to come forward and play their role for ‘their freedom’ and solution of their problems.

The JSM chairman said his party supported the lawyers struggle and urged them to take up the issue of the smaller nations as well.

He said the Centre had been failed to identify and resolve the problems of people of Sindh, Balochistan and the NWFP, and rather become a symbol of ‘problem creator’ itself.

He said: “There is no Pakistani or Islamic nations and the rulers have been continuously deceiving people in that name but now people are aware of these tactics.”

He said that people were the real source of power in any democratic society but there should be a right direction for them and for that purpose they should be organised first.

He slammed the feudal set-up and said it was a basic obstruction in the development and prosperity of Sindhi people.
