Two FC men killed in Nushki

QUETTA, Dec 20: Two Frontier Corps personnel were killed in an attack in Nushki on Thursday.

According to sources, the personnel were going to the FC Qila when armed people on a motorbike opened fire on them.

Khadim Hussain was killed on the spot while Mazhar Hussain died in hospital.

The assailants escaped.

In another incident, a police officer and his son were injured when some people hurled a hand-grenade at their house.

The injured were identified as SHO Farid Barach of Panjpai and his son Mir Wais.

In the industrial town of Hub, a pylon of high power transmission was blown up suspending electricity supply to a vast area.

Police foiled an attempt to blow up a rail track in Sariab by defusing an explosive device which had been planted to the main railway line near the Killi Shahnawaz area.

In Sui, police defused a bomb which planted near to a technical training centre.
