KARACHI, Dec 26: German coach John Henrik launched his advance and basic training programme for Pakistan’s skeet shooters on Wednesday, at the Naval Shooting Range, Karachi.

Ranked among the top skeet coaches in the world, Henrik, who has been teaching the basics of skeet shooting to around eight of our young shooters soon after arriving in Pakistan, also gave some tips on advanced coaching to Pakistan’s experienced marksmen including the Olympian Khurram Inam and Amin Karamat.

The coach is visiting here at the behest of the National Rifle Association of Pakistan to the Asian Shooting Federation (ASF) President, Salman

Al Sabah of Kuwait, in order to improve the overall standard of skeet shooting in Pakistan.

According to Razi Ahmed Khan, a licensed coach of the International Shooting Federation (ISF), Henrik will be focusing mainly on increasing the scoring ability of our top of the line shooters in a bid to win medals in international competitions.

Skeet shooters from the Punjab and NWFP are arriving in the city to attend the training programme.—APP
