ISLAMABAD, Dec 29: Two separate cases were registered in the federal capital against over 200 people on the charges of creating law and order situation and damaging public and private property, police said on Saturday.
The first case was registered by the Sabzi Mandi police on the complaint of its station house officer (SHO) Inspector Khalid Masood.
In his complaint, the SHO said about 100-150 people including Sufi Mohammad Ashraf, Shaikh Abdul Rehman, Altaf Hussain, Raziq Ahmad, Mohammad Arif, Sharafat, Firoz Khan, Aurangzeb, Mohammad Naveed, Mohammad Iqbal, Mushtaq, Noman, Mohammad Shafiq, Fayaz Ahmad, Zulfiqar and Bulbul Ahmad held a procession at Sector I-11/1.
The participants of the procession blocked the road and broke the traffic signals.
The mob threw stones on private vehicles and police personnel who were deployed there. As a result, four personnel suffered injuries, he added.
The second case was registered with the Shahzad Town police on the complaint of Khana checkpost incharge Sub-inspector Abdul Sattar Shah.
The complainant said about 80-85 people carrying batons and stones entered the
Khana checkpost on Islamabad Highway and damaged vehicles which had been impounded by the police and parked there.
The mob blocked the road and shattered signboards and street- lights in the area.
They also pelted police vehicles and personnel with stones, resulting in injure to the policemen.
