LONDON, Jan 7: Egypt grabbed a half-a-dozen titles in the British Junior Open Squash which ended in the northern English city of Sheffield on Sunday evening while the Pakistanis returned empty-handed after a prolific start in the event.

Egypt took home six of the eight titles just as they did last year while France and India bagged one each. The biggest disappointment was, however, Pakistan whose players failed to win even a single title after fine start to their campaign last week. The nearest they came was in the Boys Under-15 when Nasir Iqbal was beaten in the final by his Egyptian rival Karim Ali Fathi.

The main junior title went to Mohammad El Shorbagy who won his third

successive title and in the process retained the Drysdale Cup. In the Boys’ Under-19 final he defeated his French opponent Gregoire Marche in straight games.
