LAHORE, Jan 7: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the proposed itinerary of Zimbabwe tour to Pakistan, starting with their arrival on Jan 12.

The new itinerary was proposed after riots started across the country in the wake of the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto on Dec 27.

The three-day match, which was to be played at Karachi has been scratched out from the tour, to shorten the trip.

A PCB official said that although five-days remained for Zimbabwe to arrive, all arrangements to host the series had already been completed. Zimbabwe, struggling to regain its Test status, will play a four-day side game at Karachi, followed by five One-day Internationals in Karachi, Hyderabad, Multan, Faisalabad and Sheikhupura.

Proposed itinerary:

Jan 14-17: four-day game vs. Patron’s XI, DHA Stadium,Karachi.

Jan 21: 1st ODI, National Stadium, Karachi (D/N).

Jan 24: 2nd ODI, Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad.

Jan 27: 3rd ODI, Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan (D/N).

Jan 30: 4th ODI, Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad (D/N).

Feb 2: 5th ODI, Sheikhupura Stadium, Sheikhupura.
