HYDERABAD, Jan 8: The University of Sindh announced on Monday provisional merit lists of candidates selected for admission to the university’s bachelor’s degree programme in Jamshoro and Laar campuses for 2008 session.

The university’s director of admissions notified the third provisional list of candidates selected on merit for admission to quota-oriented and general disciplines, female reserved seats and self-finance scheme.

Earlier, the university had announced the second provisional merit list of candidates selected for admission to bachelors and masters degree programme on reserved quota for the sons and daughters of the employees of the university and teachers of affiliated colleges as well as on seats reserved for the disabled persons.

The lists had been displayed on the notice boards in the Sindh University Model School Hyderabad and administration building Jamshoro. The lists could also be seen posted on the university’s official website www.usindh.edu.pk.

The director said that the last date for submission of objections against provisional list had been fixed as Jan 9 while the final list would be displayed on Jan 10. The candidates would be allowed to deposit admission fee from Jan 11 to 21 after the final list came out, he said.

He also announced the first merit list of candidates selected under self finance scheme and the second merit list of candidates selected on general and female reserved quota for admission to BBA, BS Computer Science and BS Commerce in Sindh University Laar College Badin.

The list of selected candidates had been displayed on notice boards in the Laar college, Sindh University Model School Hyderabad and administration building Jamshoro. He advised the successful candidates to deposit admission fee through bank challan at the Badin branch of the Habib Bank Limited up to Jan 10.

Postgraduate Diploma

The director of admissions of the University of Sindh on Tuesday extended the last date to Jan 15 for submission of forms and payment of fee for admission to Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology and Public Administration under evening program 2008.

He advised the candidates to obtain forms from the branches of Habib Bank Limited in Old Campus Hyderabad and Jamshoro. The candidates could deposit fee through bank challan at HBL Jamshoro branch up to Jan 15, he said.

The director also extended the last date to Jan 15 for admission to Postgraduate Diploma in Library, Information Science and Archive Studies (PGD-LIS) and extended the last date to Jan 16 for admission to B.Ed and M.Ed and M.A (Hons) Education in morning and evening programme at the Faculty of Education, Hyderabad.

The dean of Faculty of Education on Tuesday said that application forms could be obtained from the branches of Habib Bank Limited in Old Campus Hyderabad and Jamshoro.

He advised the candidates to submit forms along with required documents to the office of the dean of Faculty of Education at Elsa Kazi Campus Hyderabad.

Exam Schedule

The controller of examinations of the University of Sindh announced on Monday schedule for annual examination 2007 of regular as well as external candidates in the university’s affiliated colleges.

He said that the examination for B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, B.S.W and B.Sc Home Economics Part -I and Part-II of regular (fresh and failure) candidates would commence on Jan 22.

Examination for B.A (Pass) Part-I and M.A Previous ( failure only), B.A (Pass) Part-II and M.A Final for external fresh and failure candidates under annual examination 2007 would also start on

Jan 22.
