ISLAMABAD, April 4: Islamabad police booked on Thursday Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan and seven other members of his party on charges of violating section 144 in the capital, police said.
Imran Khan along with seven party activists staged a protest demonstration in front of UN offices on Wednesday and chanted slogans in favour of Palestine and against Israel. The protesters were demanding the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Palestine.
The PTI chief also presented a memorandum to the UN official.
The police registered a case against Imran Khan and seven other party workers on the complaint of station house officer of Kohsar police station.
However, no arrest has been made so far.
