LARKANA, Jan 11: A 40-member delegation of the Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors (CPNE), led by its president Arif Nizami, met Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in Naudero on Friday and condoled with him over the tragic death of Ms Benazir Bhutto.

Later, talking to journalists, Mr. Nizami said Ms Benazir Bhutto as ‘martyr of democracy’ saying that she had struggled for democracy and did not compromise on it. Mr. Nizami said that the murder of Ms Bhutto was a severe blow to democracy.

The members of the delegation later went to Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto, offered fateha and laid a floral wreath on the graves of Ms Bhutto and her father Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

Meanwhile former Sindh health secretary Dr Kamil Rajpar talking to journalists after meeting Asif Zardari said that President Pervez Musharraf was playing mischief with Sindhis. He said being president he should not indulge in ethnic disputes.
