Nawaz seeks passport

Published January 19, 2008

LAHORE, Jan 18: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Patron Nawaz Sharif has applied for a machine-readable passport (MRP).

He went to the Garden Town facility of the Immigration and Passport Department to complete formalities as a passport-seeker.

Mr Sharif mixed up with the people and staff present there and exchanged views with them in a light mood.

It could not be known whether the PML-N leader has lost his earlier passport or he wants to get machine-readable document for some other reason.

However, a party official said Mr Sharif along with his mother wanted to perform Umra.
