QUETTA, Jan 21: Three oil tankers and a container carrying fuel and goods for the allied forces in southern Afghanistan were blown up late on Sunday night in the border town of Chaman and the Sranan area of Qila Abdullah district.

Police managed to save another oil tanker, defusing a bomb strapped to it, sources said.

According to police sources, bombs had been planted in two oil tankers and a container parked at the Chaman-bypass. Two of the bombs exploded and one oil tanker and the container caught fire. Two other oil tankers carrying fuel for Nato forces in Kandahar were blown up in Sranan area.
