ISLAMABAD, Jan 24: Women representatives from six major political parties here on Thursday expressed concerns over the overall security environment in the country and demanded that the government should take extra measures to ensure safety of women voters and campaign workers.

The over 70 representatives of different political parties including Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Awami National Party, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (F) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement were speaking at a forum on “Women’s participation in elections” arranged by the National Democratic Institute (NDI).
