‘PML-Q to win Balochistan seats’

Published January 25, 2008

LAHORE, Jan 24: The Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) will win polls with a thumping majority in Balochistan, claimed Provincial Finance Secretary Naeem Kashmiri.

Addressing a press conference here, Kashmiri said the party has fielded candidates on 13 seats out of a total 14 National Assembly (NA) seats, with a seat adjustment with allies on the 14th one.

On 51 Provincial Assembly (PA) seats, the party has fielded 46 candidates and made seat adjustment with allies on five seats. The PML-N has not been able to award ticket on seven NA and 35 PA seats. The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal faces split and so does the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl. Both these splits would benefit the PML-Q in the elections, he claimed.
