KARACHI, Jan 28: Sindh (caretaker) Minister for Fisheries Mir Mansab Ali Khan Jhakhrani has assured his Punjab counterpart Pir Saad Ahsanuddin of his department’s full cooperation and support with regard to the schemes pertaining to the fisheries sector.

Pir Saad called on him here on Monday to discuss various schemes introduced by the Sindh government like boat modification and establishment of colonies for fishermen at Ibrahim Haidery (Karachi), Zero Point (Badin) and Manchhar Lake (Dadu).

Mir Mansab Jakhrani informed him that the foundation stone of “K-2 Ice Cool Plant” at the Karachi Fish Harbour would soon be laid by the Sindh chief minister. Besides, he added, measures were being taken to meet the requirements of the European Union to give a boost to sea food exports to European countries.—PPI
