HYDERABAD, Jan 31: The University of Sindh has announced bursary and scholarship for students on poverty-cum-merit basis for 2007 session.

Finance director of the university Faiz Muhammad Hingoro on Thursday issued a proforma to all directors and chairpersons of centres, institutes and departments.

The facility of bursary and freeship will be determined on the basis of annual income certificate of father/guardian of the student and merit on basis of marks obtained in the last examination with certified attendance during the current academic session.

The students have been advised to collect the proforma from heads of their institutes and departments. Last date for the submission of complete list of the students by every teaching department at the office of concerned dean has been fixed as March 8, 2008.

Applications will be considered for one academic session and one facility. Students should attach a photo copy of bank receipt of admission fee payment with the application.

Without depositing admission slip students will not be considered for freeship or bursary.

Applications for the announced facilities will not be entertained of those students who are studying in the university on self-finance scheme or in evening programs.
