KHAIRPUR, Feb 8: Farmers of Sobhodero Taluka demonstrated in Hingorja on Friday, second consecutive day against black marketing of fertilisers.

They said wheat crop at this stage needed fertilser the most but its artificial shortage may affect production and take toll on the already suffering flour-deficient populace.

Farmers demanded the district administration to ensure proper supply of fertilsers in taluka and control black marketing.

Meanwhile, growers of Rahuja led by Wario Soomro staged demonstration in Rahuja near Pir Jo Goth against shortage of irrigation water.

They raised slogans against irrigation officials and said wheat and other seasonal crops needed water but there was shortage in the minor.

They added the artificial shortage of irrigation water would affect production of seasonal crops.
