KARACHI, Feb 12: Nine ships carrying containers and tallow and to load rice and clinker are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where nine ships were berthed. They are: Star Bintan, Lonqinmay, Kapitan Byankin, and Orient Stride to unload and load containers, Chitral to unload general cargo, Cleveland to offload wheat, Pacific Arrow to load cement, Anita, to offload cement and Formosa Product Cosmos, to load naphtha were berthed on Tuesday.

Sailing was also active as nine ships, including Wan Hai-303, Lucky Arrow, Rickmers Dubai, Jitra Bhum, Don Fern Bulic, Despina-P, Iran Sadr, Johar and Lalazar departed on Tuesday, while Kapitan Byankin, Longquimay, Ever Given, St. James Park, Sinar Bintan, Pacific Arrow and Jindal Kamla were due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total volume of 91,203 tons, comprising 35,308 tons of export tonnage and 55,895 tons of import cargo was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Mariella Bottiglieri, with 10,500 tons of tallow, St Irene, Hyundai Stride, Augusta, Sky Venus, with containers, Anastasi, with coal, Sana, to load 19,500 tons of rice, Eastern Sea, to load 22,000 tons of clinker and Breeze, to load general cargo.
