Two cops held over criminal’s escape

SAHIWAL, Feb 12: Police arrested two constables after a criminal fled from their custody at the district courts on Tuesday.

Noorshah police arrested alleged criminal Waseem Akhtar from Faisalabad’s People’s Colony and later took him to the district courts to get his physical remand. Akhtar somehow managed to free his hands from handcuffs and fled from the custody of constables Asif and Naseer.

As a result, the Civil Lines police registered a case against the constables and arrested them.
