KARACHI, Feb 25: Three ships carrying containers, edible oil and furnace oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, five more ships arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 50 per cent as six ships, Zanzibar, Raissa Ayu, African Halcyon, Navios Hios, Vema Ocean and Kaghan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, palm oil, wheat, furnace oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 69,975 tons comprising 66,879 tons of import and 3,096 tons of export tonnage was handled.
