KARACHI, Feb 27: The Board of Secondary Education Karachi has announced that the SSC Part-I and -II (Class-IX and X) annual exams (Science and General groups) for regular students and private candidates will commence from April 15.

According to the exam schedule announced on Wednesday, Class-IX papers will be conducted from 2pm to 5pm and Class-X papers will be held from 9am to 12noon.

Class-IX exams programme: English Paper-I (Science Group) will be held on April 15, English Paper-I of General Group (regular and private) on April 16, Pakistan Studies (Science Group) on April 17, Chemistry (Theory) on April 21, Pakistan Studies of General Group (regular and private) on April 22, Biology (Theory) on April 23, Mathematics of General Group (regular and private) on April 24, Sindhi Salees (Science Group), Sindh Normal Courses, Urdu Alternative or English Literature in lieu of Sindhi Salees, and Geography of Pakistan Paper-I for foreigners on April 28 and General Science on April 29, Computer Studies (Theory) Science Group on May 5, and Sindhi Salees (General Group), Sindhi Normal Courses, Urdu Alternative or English Literature in lieu of Sindhi Salees, and Geography of Pakistan Paper-I for foreigners (regular and private) will be held on May 6.

Class-X exams timetable: English Paper-II (General Group) for regular and private candidates will be held on April 15, English Paper-II (Science Group) on April 16, Islamiat (General Group), Ethics for non-Muslims in lieu of Islamiat (regular and private) on April 17, Urdu, Sindhi and English Literature (Elective) General Group and Art and Model Drawing (Theory) (Regular and Private) on April 18, Geometrical and Technical Drawing, Child Development and Family Living (for girls only) and Art and Model Drawing (Theory) on April 21, Islamiat (Science Group) and Ethics for non-Muslims in lieu of Islamiat on April 22, Urdu Normal Course (Science Group), Urdu Salees, Geography of Pakistan Paper-II (for foreigners only) on April 24, Commercial Geography, Geography (Elective), Clothing and Textile (for girls only) on April 25, Islamic Studies (General Group), Islamic History, Economics, Management for Better Homes (for girls only) on April 28, Mathematics (Science Group) on April 29, Braille (Theory), Arabic (General Group), Art and Model Drawing (Practical), Persian and Household Accounts (for girls only) on May 5, Physics (Theory) and Physiology and Hygiene (General Group), Civics (Elective), History of Indo-Pakistan, Food and Nutrition (for girls only) and Computer Studies (Elective) Theory paper for General Group will be held on May 7.—PPI
