HYDERABAD, Feb 27: The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) announced on Wednesday the seat numbers of the candidates recommended for appointment to the posts of deputy prosecutor general (BPS-18), deputy district public prosecutor (BPS-18) and deputy director monitoring, implementation and evaluation (BPS-18).
The SPSC secretary said that the commission held interviews for the posts from Feb 20 to 23 at Hyderabad and Karachi, respectively, and recommended them for appointment in order of merit for urban and rural quotas based on the performance.
He said that candidates having seat No.491 (R), 157 (R), 277 (U), 313 (R), 153 (R) and 324 (U) had been recommended for appointment to the post of deputy prosecutor general.
Candidates having seat No.108 (R), 259 (R), 274 (U), 433 (R), 416 (R), 272 (U), 273 (U), 286 (R), 268 (U), 282 (U), 458 (R) and 405 (R) had been recommended for deputy district public prosecutor and only one candidate having seat No.342 (R) had been recommended for the post of deputy director of monitoring, implementation and evaluation, he added.
DATE EXTENDED: The director of admissions of the University of Sindh on Tuesday extended deadline to March 15 for submitting forms and paying fee for admission to next higher classes for the academic session of 2008.
He advised the students to obtain forms from HBL Old Campus Hyderabad branch after payment of prescribed fee.
BOYS HOSTEL: The Sindh University said on Tuesday that a new boys’ hostel had been constructed at a cost of Rs38.330 million to facilitate the students.
The work on the hostel project had started in 2005 for which funds had been provided by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The new hostel has been named after Khanbahadur Syed Alhando Shah, a renowned philanthropist of Sindh.
NIP: The controller of examinations of the University of Sindh on Tuesday announced that result sheets with CGPA of students had been provided to teaching institutes and departments to enable the postgraduate students to apply for National Internship Programme (NIP) announced by the federal government.
He advised the candidates to contact their concerned institutes and departments on Feb 28 to ascertain their performance during academic year 2004-2007.
