He was talking to media after the inauguration of computerised system of accounts at the Matiari accounts office on Wednesday.

He said that after the record of accounts offices of Matiari, Tando Mohammad Khan, Sanghar and Mithi is computerised, the number of computerised accounts offices in Sindh would rise to eleven.

He said the computerisation of record of 18 districts will be completed by March 31, the next month.

He said following the riots of December 27, the repair of those accounts offices which were damaged, had been started after a detailed survey and added that the day-to-day work was being conducted at alternative places.

When the account-general reached Matiari, 241 grade-1 employees of the education department staged a protest demonstration against the non-payment of their salaries for the last eight months.

The account-general made inquiries from the DCO and met a delegation of the employees.
