HYDERABAD, March 4: The affected transporters of Hyderabad staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Tuesday against the non-payment of compensation for 21 vehicles which had been burnt in Tando Allahyar following the assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto on Dec 27.

Mohammad Sabir and others said that they had provided proofs along with copies of the FIR to the mukhtiarkar Tando Allahyar after filling the prescribed forms and submitted applications to district nazim, DCO and other authorities. They said two months had been passed but no compensation had been paid to them.—Bureau
