LAHORE, March 6: Bagging 29 points, Punjab have won the inter-provincial Under-17 boxing championship here on Thursday.

Sindh with 17 and Balochistan with 16 points claimed the second and third spots. Fata (12 points) and NWFP (eight points) were the other participating teams.

Asama Arshad of Punjab was declared best boxer of the championship.

Winners of the gold, silver and bronze medals were also presented with cash prizes of Rs5,000, 3,000 and 2,000, each.

46kgs: Shehroze Ketchi (Sindh) bt Wajahat Ali (Punjab).

48kgs: Khawer Shahzad bt Sherwan (Fata).

50kgs: Jamal (Sindh) bt Ali Javed (Punjab).

52kgs: Asama Arshad bt Ali Mohammad (Balochistan).

54kgs: Ahmed Bin Babar (Punjab) bt Junaid (Fata).

57kgs: Nosherwan Aadil (Punjab) bt Aamir Khan (Sindh).

60kgs: Kazim (Balochistan) bt Aamir Rafique (Punjab).
