KARACHI, March 9: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement named on Sunday Dr Farooq Sattar and Syed Sardar Ahmed as its parliamentary leaders in the national and Sindh assemblies, respectively.

According to a press release, the announcement was made by the convener of the coordination committee, Dr Imran Farooq, at a meeting at party’s headquarters. The newly-elected legislators of the party attended the meeting.

Dr Sattar would be the parliamentary leader of the MQM in the national assembly while Hyder Abbas Rizvi will act as deputy parliamentary leader in the lower house. Syed Sardar Ahmed will be the MQM’s parliamentary leader in the Sindh Assembly and Faisal Subzwari will be deputy parliamentary leader in the provincial assembly.
