ABBOTTABAD, March 9: At least three persons were killed and 13 others sustained injuries when a Peshawar-bound passenger van plunged into a ravine here on Sunday.

A passenger coach, carrying 16 passengers, was on way to Peshawar from Natiagali when the incident happened at Battangi More in the Kalabagh base area. The vehicle skid off the road and plunged into a 100-feet-deep ravine. As a result, Azam Khan, Mohammad Mushtaq and Mohammad Zahir died on the spot while the injured included three Indian nationals Delawar, Ubaidur Rehaman and Hussain.

Other injured were identified as Rabnawaz, Abdul Manan, Amer Shehzad, Asim, Mohammad Hussain and Mohammad Suhail. They were taken to the Ayub Medical College Hospital.
