ISLAMABAD, March 11: The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has released nearly Rs4.5 million as third instalment of the annual grant for 2007-08 to 15 sports federations with the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) and Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) equally dividing a sum of Rs1.5 million between them.

The PHF and AFP both got Rs750,000 each, said the PSB spokesman Mohammad Azam Dar here on Monday, adding that the federations have been directed to submit detailed reports of their activities and audited statements of accounts for the year 2007-08.

The following were the beneficiary federations:

AFP (Rs750,000), Pakistan Swimming Federation (Rs300,000), PHF (Rs750,000), Pakistan Golf Federation (Rs240,000), Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (Rs180,000), Pakistan Karate Federation (Rs300,000), Pakistan Weightlifting Federation (Rs300,000), Pakistan Wrestling Federation (Rs300,000), Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (Rs300,000), Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (Rs300,000), Pakistan Basketball Federation (Rs210,000), Pakistan Handball Federation (Rs150,000), Pakistan Cycling Federation (Rs180,000), Pakistan Polo Association (Rs180,000), Equestrian Federation of Pakistan (Rs60,000).
