Kamran excels in KCCA event

KARACHI, March 12: Opener Kamran Hussain struck an enterprising hundred to power Sindh Police to a seven-wicket victory over Pak Saudi International in the 16th Hinopak Trophy-KCCA Inter-departmental cricket tournament at the KCCA Stadium here on Tuesday.

Kamran clubbed 12 boundaries in his 105 while facing 85 deliveries and Fahad Jabbar finished unbeaten on 57 laced with six boundaries as Sindh Police reached the winning target in 43 overs for the loss of three wickets.

Earlier, Pak Saudi International, batting first, were restricted to 241-9 in the allotted 50 overs. Mohammad Ali captured four wickets for 55.

In another match played at the UBL Sports Complex, the KESC beat Hinopak Motors by 85 runs.

Mansoor Khan, Misbah Khan and Javed Mansoor cracked half-centuries to steer the KESC to 277 off 45 overs. Hinopak Motors, in reply, were dismissed for 192 in 41.3 overs. Shahzeb Khan captured three wickets for 24 and Faraz Ahmed three for 36.
