HYDERABAD, March 13: The All-Sindh People’s Paramedical Staff Welfare Association on Thursday accused the medical superintendent of the Liaquat University Hospital of being involved in misappropriating hospital funds and making illegal appointments despite ban on recruitment.

The office-bearers of the association said at a news conference at the press club that the MS had made no less than 33 appointments during the period when there was ban on new jobs.

They said that the daily-wagers who had been serving for nine years including the children of retired and expired employees of paramedical staff, received a meagre salary of Rs1,000 to Rs1,200 per month.

They demanded that the Anti-Corruption Establishment should seize the office record and hold an inquiry into financial mismanagement.

They demanded that the government should remove the MS and hold and inquiry against him and cancel all the appointments made without merit and in violation of rules and regulations.
