MINGORA, March 13: The Swat police arrested three ‘hardcore militants’ in a raid in Charbagh on Thursday but failed to find arms reportedly dumped by militants in the fields in the Shakar Darra area.

On a tip-off, police raided a hideout of militants and arrested eight suspects. However, after interrogation, five of them were released and Usman Ali, Tariq Ahmed and Amjad Ali, believed to be hardcore militants, were shifted to an undisclosed location. —Correspondent
