KARACHI, March 13: Federal Board, Islamabad retained the Inter-board girls’ badminton title outclassing Gujranwala Board 3-1 in the final played at the Officers Club, Larkana, on Thursday.

According to the information made available here, Sukkur Board claimed the third position following a walkover against the Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi (BIEK) which was awarded due to indisposition of two players.

Nargis Hasan, a qualified referee from the city, supervised the final.

Result:

Federal Board bt Gujranwala Board 3-1.

Singles: Ismat bt Alia 18-21, 21-17, 16-21 ; Mariam bt Sidra 21-9, 21-12. Doubles: Alia/Sonia bt Ismat/Sidra 22-20, 22-20; Nosheen/Mariam bt Zakia/Tanzeela 21-8, 21-2.
