KARACHI, March 14: NWFP duly completed an innings and 11-run victory after bowling out Balochistan for 345 in the second innings of remaining Pentangular Cup match at the Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar on Friday.

Balochistan, who had resumed the fourth and final day at 243-4, added 102 before losing the remaining six wickets with leg-spinner Yasir Shah ending up with five for 106 and left-arm paceman Waqar Ahmed four for 76.

Saeed bin Nasir was caught behind by Fawad Khan off Waqar after adding only 13 to his overnight tally of 118. The right-hander had made an undefeated 149 in the first innings.

Skipper Naseem Khan made 38 while Faisal Irfan contributed 40.

Waqar finished with match haul of eight for 123 and Yasir seven for 228.

Having secured nine points by winning their first game in the tournament, NWFP claimed the third spot in the standings with 15 points.

The championship was won by Sindh who had defeated Punjab on Thursday by an innings and 31 runs in Karachi, with Federal Areas finishing runners-up with 18 points. Punjab were relegated to fourth place with 12 points, while Balochistan, whose fourth defeat in as many matches was their third by innings, failed to secure any point.
